After hearing about the PrivaScreen Privacy filters at a recent client meeting, I decided to buy one in an effort to blackout prying eyes and therefore work with much more confidence when out and about. PrivaScreen tinted filters come in a range of sizes to fit all computer and laptop screens, and I believe versions are also available for tablets and iPhones. I bought the 15'' version - and, in less than a minute, I simply peeled off the protective film and fixed the filter to my laptop screen using the adhesive tabs supplied. The filter sits nice and flush to my screen, viewing when typing is perfect, and I also feel the extra film gives my laptop screen a bit more protection. But the main reason why I bought it was to avoid others being able to view my work on screen; so how good is it? Well, PrivaScreen definitely provides a complete blackout to anyone viewing from the side - even at a very tight angle, and the only real way to see what's on the laptop screen is to be sat right behind it in my seat! So, whilst it may be a very simple product, it's really, really effective - and I now feel a lot easier about working in public.
