For broadcast the D1's tone攊n conjunction with the proximity effect you get from its cardioid pattern攇ives you that larger-than-life sound for voice-overs and other spoken-word applications. The mic is equipped with three separate filters each with its own on/off switch which make it possible to tailor the D2's frequency response for specific applications. Two of the three are bass roll-off filters that help you shape the low end. The first cuts 3 dB at 120 Hz and 5 dB at 50 Hz. The second cuts 3 dB at 210 Hz and 10 dB at 100 Hz. The third filter affects the presence range cutting by a maximum of 4 dB at 5 kHz. The D2 features an integrated stand adapter.
